The fine print: privacy, terms and how ZeroHum gets paid
A site about small print should have honest small print. Here is all of it, in the same plain language as the receipts.
Privacy: what we collect
Almost nothing, structurally: ZeroHum is a static site with no accounts, no comments and no pop-ups asking for your email. One analytics property (GA4) counts visits and shows us which receipts get read; block it and the site works identically. Email us and your address gets used for the reply, then left alone. We make money when you decide free isn't enough. Until then, browsing costs you nothing and tells us almost nothing.
How we're paid
Upgrade links — the raspberry buttons — route through our /go/ directory and may be affiliate links: if you buy a paid tier after clicking, the vendor may pay us a commission at no change to your price. Currently that can apply to Krisp, Adobe and Cleanvoice upgrades; NVIDIA Broadcast, SteelSeries Sonar and Audacity have no paid door, pay us nothing, and get recommended anyway — the shelf order never follows the commission.
Terms: what the receipts are
Editorial audits of vendor-published limits, correct as of the printed date on each receipt (site-wide pass: July 30, 2026). Vendors move caps without asking us; if a receipt disagrees with a vendor's current page, the vendor's page wins and we owe the reprint — tell us at {CONTACT_EMAIL_S2}.
Nothing here is professional advice beyond: read caps before relying on them. Quote us with a link; wholesale republication isn't quoting.
